Climbs of Virginia
Ride and conquer some of the east’s toughest climbs in Virginia
but also having fun and enjoy the beauty of the mountains. We’ll
climb Thorton Gap outside of Lurray to the Skyline Drive and then to the
highest elevation on the drive. Day two will be about a 62 miles with
a signature climb of 3200 feet of climbing in 10 miles. Day 3 time to
rest and then on Day 4 we will do Wintergreen Resort, one of the trip’s
steepest series of climbs. Then we will ride along the Blue Ridge Parkway
and then back down into the valley. Day 5 will be Swift Run Gap which
is a nice climb up to the end of the Skyline Drive. Days for riding may
differ depending on weather conditions.
Riders do NOT have to ride with us the full week, just
