HBC’s Kings Gap Time Trial

The Kings Gap Time Trial is a community outreach project designed to be a fun event and is NOT a sanctioned USA Cycling Race event. All profits go to the Friends of Kings Gap, a non-profit group of dedicated volunteers who support, protect and enhance Kings Gap State Park. Local cyclists have the luxury of enjoying this 3.5 mile climb and the rewarding downhill which is one of the most beautiful and popular in the area. Participating in the time trial is a great way to say thank you to this very special group of individuals as well as the staff of Kings Gap State Park.

This year’s event is being held on Saturday September 9rd at Kings Gap State Park, Dickinson Township, Cumberland County, PA. The event runs from 8 to 11 AM (so you’ll have the rest of your Saturday for other fun things). All riders 15 and over are welcome to participate. The registration fee is just $20. And there will lots of fun prizes, as well as refreshments and camaraderie with fellow cyclists in a beautiful setting. The climb to the top of Kings Gap is a gradual 3.5 miles through a quiet, traffic-free wooded area. Riders leave at regular intervals and are timed individually as they reach the finish line.
