2020 Annual Banquet Speaker – Update #2

By JW Haupt

Joseph Jefferson to speak at 2020 Annual Banquet!

If you have attended the Wilmington Grand Prix or some of our area’s pro-am races, you have heard the energetic and entertaining banter of Joseph Jefferson, race announcer.  Joe has been announcing nationally and internationally sanctioned cycling events throughout the U.S. since the mid-1980’s.  When he’s not announcing a race, he is involved with supporting racing and racers, as detailed below in his bio.

We feel that Joe provides an interesting and entertaining view of racing in America, and we look forward to seeing everyone the evening of February 29th.  Seating is limited, so if you plan to attend you must send an email to Emily Ciancio at Socialchair@whiteclaybicycleclub.org with your name, the name of your guest (if applicable), and the type of food you are bringing (remember this is a partial pot luck event so bring a small hors d’oeuvres, salad, side, or desert to share with the others).

Please note: this is a members-only event, so your Club membership must be current.  Select this link for online membership through Bikereg.com.

As in the past, there will be a road ride with the speaker on Sunday following the banquet.  The ride will be between 25-30 miles at a fit and fun, conversational pace of 11-12 mph. No invitation is needed to join this ride and details will be forthcoming and posted on the ride calendar and the web site. We hope to show what a great group of people come out for our Club rides, so we hope you will join us.

See the Annual Banquet Event post for important information.
