Club Apparel at the Picnic
By JW HauptIt has been a few years since we offered Club kits to membership. I plan to change that this year.
I took a small step already by working with one of our members to create t-shirts to wear when not in cycling gear. We have developed a Sport Grey t-shirt with “WCBC” on the front and the four logos that symbolize our four events arranged on the bask. These t-shirts are unisex fit and are being offered in S thru XXXL. I will have them at the picnic tomorrow if anyone wants to purchase one (or more). Wearing one of these t-shirts is a great way to get the Club name out in the public when not pedaling your bike. They are ideal to put on over your jersey before the ride and to replace your sweaty jersey after a ride. The photo provides a view of the front and back of the t-shirt. And here’s the best part – they are selling for just $10!
My next step is to develop Club kits and I’ve already started that process. Design is underway and once approved will be offered via a web-link for everyone to go on and place their own orders. The logistics will follow in the next couple of weeks as we get further along, but the plan is to offer jerseys (short sleeved and sleeveless), bibs, shorts, jackets and vests, at a minimum. Arms, knee and leg warmers, caps and socks may also be offered if there is enough interest. I will have sizing sample jerseys at the picnic tomorrow in case you would like to try them on to check on the fit before placing an order. I have the sizing samples for two weeks I believe so if you want to meet me before or after a weekday ride in the Bear area, please let me know.
I hope to see a lot of people at the picnic tomorrow, if not for the apparel, then for the food and camaraderie.
