Icicle Update #1

Icicle Update

Spring is FINALLY HERE!! Or so we thought. With the possibility of 12”-18” of snow being dumped on us before everyone wakes Thursday morning, we are making plans and considering options.

At this time we do not know how much snow we will get, how it will impact the roads and how clear the roads will be by Saturday morning. The Club will be monitoring the situation and thinking only of rider safety, we may delay the start of the event or even be forced to cancel it all together. Our major concern is icy patches on the roads along the route. The fact that our routes tend to follow lesser traveled roads means that they may be the last ones to be treated for ice. As I said previously, rider safety is paramount and we will err on the side of rider safety in making our decision.

Please continue to monitor the various sources for updated Club information. A decision may be made as early as Thursday evening and as late as Friday afternoon as conditions following the storm warrant.
