Message From the President – Wanna Be Savage?
By JW HauptThe Savage Century event, our fourth and final fundraising event of the year is this Saturday, September 29th.
The weather looks to be ideal cycling weather, sunny with temps from the mid-60′ to mid-70’s. We are hoping for a great turnout to end this year on a high note. Our first three events, Icicle, Doublecross and Shorefire were well attended and supported by all of you and we anticipate and thank you for your continued support.
If you are planning to participate and ride in the event, I wanted to make sure that you are aware that the route is significantly different this year so make sure that you pick up a cue sheet and follow the route arrows that are placed to mark the route.
If you are not planning to participate as a rider this year, but still want to be involved we could use a few more volunteers. The Savage Director, Emily Ciancio is looking for at least one more SAG driver and a Rest Stop volunteer or two.
Please contact Emily at Savagecentury@whiteclaybicycleclub.org for more information about the volunteer opportunities or to volunteer.
Remember – all volunteers are invited to the Volunteer Brunch in October. Food, drink and a good time is on us!
**09/26/18 Update – Pre-Registrants should have received an email with information about the GPS-type files. Those that did not pre-register will be able to download the route to their bike computer the day of the event via a laptop at Registration. Please bring your cable to connect to the laptop.
