DESCRIPTION:The sixth annual BikeMaine (September 8 – 15\, 2018) is a fully-supported\, seven-day cycling tour held in mid-September\, the prime time to ride in New England. The days are still warm\, the nights are comfortably cool\, and a hint of fall color is just beginning to appear in the trees. \nCyclists pedal an average of 55 miles per day along moderately challenging terrain on uncrowded\, safe\, and quiet roadways\, through small towns rich in local culture. This year’s ride in Aroostook County offers stunning vistas over miles of rolling hills\, routes along some of Maine’s most scenic waterways\, and stays in some of Maine’s most unique and charming communities.
