SUMMARY:Delaware Gran Fondo
DESCRIPTION:The Brandywine Valley offers some of the best cycling terrain on the East Coast. \n Experience one of the most scenic cycling routes in the U.S. as the Wilmington Grand Prix’s 11th Annual Delaware Gran Fondo offers cyclists the unique opportunity to traverse a challenging 100-kilometer (62 miles) course linked by 13 cultural attractions\, including stunning rides through world-class institutions such as Hagley Museum & Gardens\, Granogue and Winterthur Museum\, Garden and Library. The Delaware Gran Fondo will allow cyclists the rare privilege of passing through these attractions on the same ride. \nTWO LESS CHALLENGING OPTIONS: \n* Media Fondo (60-kilometer/32-mile course). All routes enjoy police-escorted mass start from Rockford Park through Hagley Museum & Gardens & Winterthur Museum and Library. No timed climbs. Less challenging than Gran Fondo but some hilly terrain.  \n* Governor’s Ride (15-mile course). Register at:  https://www.bikereg.com/governorsride \nAll Fondo participants will receive a police escort to start and police support at key intersections. Rider welcome packet including a commemorative Tshirt\, Swag Bag\, USA Cycling rider insurance\, course marking\, fully-stocked rest stops featuring signature Delaware goodies (including Woodside Creamery ice cream for Gran Fondo)\, post-ride reception with catered cuisine by award-winning chef Robbie Jester (winner of American cooking shows “Pressure Cooker” and “Beat Bobby Flay”)  and craft beer\, raffle prizes\, bike valet service at festivities and more. Medals to all riders who complete the Gran Fondo. \nTwo timed climbs for age-group prizes in Gran Fondo only. King/Queen of the Climb Medals to top three finishers in each age group. \n Riders must be 16 or older to participate. REGISTRATION LIMITED TO 1ST 500 RIDERS. There are NO REFUNDS. DESCRIPTION:The Evelyn Hill Cycling Club is excited to invite you to She-Bikes\, our second annual ride to support women.  \n\nRegister by May 1\, 2024 to receive your free specially designed She-Bikes T-shirt!\nCheck-in opens at 8:30 a.m. All rides start at 9:00 a.m.\nAll roads will be marked with arrows.\nHelmets required. Rain or shine.\nRide course is flat to rolling on country roads through Cumberland\, Salem and Gloucester counties in southern New Jersey. Bikes should be in good repair. Sag wagon and rest stops provided with homemade baked goods.\nProceeds benefit the Salem County Women’s Shelter. Riders are asked to bring a personal care item for the shelter (tampons\, sanitary napkins\, toiletries)\nFree raffle\nFood truck ($) at the end of the ride. \nGrand prize is an Evelyn Hill Cycling kit for women.
