DESCRIPTION:Join Baltimore Bicycling Club (baltobikeclub.org) on Maryland’s scenic & peaceful Eastern Shore\, Memorial Day Weekend. Home base for this Weekend is Washington College\, in the historic port city of Chestertown. Riders may choose from the 4-day/3-night (Friday to Monday) package\, or 3-day/2-night (Friday to Sunday)\, or the 1-day option (Sunday only). \nPackage includes college dorm accommodations\, all-you-can-eat meals\, recreational group rides with Leaders every day\, picturesque cycling routes from 10 to 100 miles on quiet roads\, picinic lunch on Sunday\, ice cream social\, 2 nights of live music\, dancing\, trivia contest\, socializing\, bike mechanic\, and much more. \nRiders of all levels of ability and interest are welcome\, and there are plenty of fun activities for non-cyclist companions. This is a RAIN-OR-SHINE event. \nThis cycling weekend coincides with the annual Tea Party Festival and Memorial Day events hosted by the colonial town of Chestertown\, just a 10-min walk from the College. Festival features live music\, artisan crafts\, local food & drink\, craft beer\, living history demonstrations\, crazy-funny Raft Race on the Chester River\, tea toss reenactment\, and 10-mile and 5K running races.

Stop for ice cream (if you like) in Oxford\, take a 7-minute ride across the Tred Avon River on the nation’s oldest privately operated Oxford-Bellevue Ferry\, then head back to the starting point (with a chance for 62 milers to first cross the popular Tunis Mills wooden bridge) to enjoy a relaxing lunch\, good conversation\, and a couple of brews! \nThree SAG-supported distance rides are available—30\, 40\, or 62.5 miles—all of which include three rest stops where friendly volunteers will help you recharge with an array of snacks\, fruit\, and beverages. \nRegistration Info:  \n\nOnline registration opens January 1 and closes June 3.\n$10 early-registration discount if you sign up by March 1.\nA limited number of on-site sign-ups will be available.
