DESCRIPTION:Here in Laurel Delaware\, we are gearing up for our 7th annual Broad Creek Bike and Brew\, Saturday June 2nd\, 2018. Each year we have the Bike and Brew offering 15\, 25\, 50\, metric or century routes. Following the ride\, we have a great after party featuring a few bands\, BBQ chicken and beer that is all included in the ticket price! \nOn your quiet adventure you will wind through scenic byways and along historic waterways as you explore what makes our community so unique.  We’ve tied in some of the best historic attractions such as The Laurel Heritage Museum\, The Cook House\, Historic Bethel\, Bethel Museum\, and Old Christ Church to name a few.  Along the way enjoy important waterways that make up a portion of the Chesapeake Watershed \, the Nanticoke River Trail\, Mason Dixon In Delmar\,  and The Sussex County Historic and Scenic Byway. Of course\, the ride would not be complete without a stop at our true gem – Trap Pond State Park.

DESCRIPTION:Join us for the Dorchester Family YMCA’s Heart of the Chesapeake Bike Tour on Saturday\, July 21\, 2018. The bike tour includes four options. You choose from the Metric Century (66 miles)\, Half Century (52 miles)\, Ragged Point Ride (32 miles) or the Family Ride (9 miles).  \nThe Metric Century\, Half Century and Ragged Point Ride all include a t-shirt in your registration fee. The family ride is a short and fun ride for families to come out and ride together. Registration in the family ride DOES NOT include a t-shirt\, but shirts can be purchased in the online store.  \nDay of registration will be available at the Dorchester Family YMCA. DESCRIPTION:The Lehigh Wheelmen invite you to participate in the 2018 Donut Derby on Labor Day\, September 3rd. The DD is a fun 36 mile race with a twist: Get a 3 minute time credit for each donut eaten at stops positioned at mile markers 12 and 24. Donut-adjusted time determines the winner in several age categories. \nThe race starts at the Valley Preferred Cycling Center\, Trexlertown at 9:00am. By providing wheelchairs\, handicap ramps and transportation\, to also engaging veterans in positive extracurricular activities\, Mid-Shore Recovering Veterans Group is a lifeline for veterans needing support that traditional funding sources can’t provide. Funds raised go directly to support veterans through the Mid-Shore Community Foundation.  \nSOAR FOR VETERANS is a fully supported cycling event with your safety and fun in mind. DESCRIPTION:The Moose \nA century “timed event” and team challenge\, 103 miles on wide open\, recently repaved\, “car hungry” roads through Moose Country in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont. We start and finish with our hands on the bar at Mike’s Tiki Bar. Join the Team Challenge. Teams of 3 to 10 riders. The fastest three times determine the winner of The Moose Wheel. We follow the rules of the road and stop at all stop signs. But there are only three in 103 miles. \nThe Moose is part of a three day Tour de Kingdom. DESCRIPTION:The Ride to Defeat ALS is a one-day cycling event\, taking place this year on June 15th\, designed for people of all ages and riding abilities. The Ride is an opportunity to rally together\, honor and remember our loved ones\, and support our shared vision – to create a world without ALS.  \nWe offer five distance options – 100\, 75\, 50\, 25\, and 10 miles – and for the first time since our 20-year partnership with Morey’s Piers began\, the ride will be both starting and ending in Wildwood\, NJ! \nEvery participant can count on support from start to finish with rest stops\, SAG vehicles\, and police along the route. DESCRIPTION:Farm to Fork Fondo is an organized bicycle ride where you get to choose the distance best for you and stop for chef-prepared bites at farms along the way. Four rides routes\, Gran (82 miles)\, Medio (45 miles)\, Piccolo (33 miles)\, and Ramble Ride (9 miles)\, tour Pennsylvania Dutch Country farmlands\, featuring aid station stops at local farms. This is a moderate difficulty ride with rolling hills and some sustained climbing over moderate grades. SUMMARY:Jersey Devil Century
DESCRIPTION:09/21/2019\nFirst held in 1979\, the Jersey Devil Century is the club’s premier ride. The ride takes place when temperatures are starting to cool and summer traffic has ebbed. Registration\, parking\, and the ride start\, are at the main parking lot and beach area of Parvin State Park. The route wanders in and out of three southern New Jersey counties: Cumberland\, Gloucester and Salem. The terrain is is mostly flat but with just enough climbs to challenge new riders and add interest for the experienced rider. \nStart anytime between 8 am to 9:00 am and ride at your own pace. After tackling the first 25 mile or 50 mile loop\, the ride returns to the park for one of the best food stops of the summer. You may then ride the second half which also has a 25 mile and 50 mile loop. This allows the options of 25\, 50\, 75 or 100 miles for the day. Waters stops are provided about halfway through each 50 mile loop. A few stores and deli’s are located along the way. \nCue sheets\, painted route marks\, sag wagon service and water/food stops are provided. (To keep prices low\, no give away items this year). Back at the park will be meatball sandwiches\, hamburgers\, hotdogs\, pasta salads\, baked beans\, and baked goods. Fee for SJ Wheelmen members is $10.00. Club T-Shirts and Jerseys are available for purchase at the ride. SUMMARY:MS Bike to the Bay 2019
DESCRIPTION:The event is a two day event\, 150 (or 175) miles total. A 75 (or 100) route on Saturday (10/12) from Dover to Rehoboth and a 75 mile return route on Sunday (10/13) from Rehoboth to Dover. This is a very flat route\, with rest stops about every 10-15 miles. There is a registration fee as well as a minimum amount of fundraising that is required. This event drawing about 1\,000 participants each year and has food and drink for the participants at the finish line on both days. Participants can opt to ride the first day and shuttle back to the finish on Sunday. See the website for more details about all aspects of the event\, including a route map.\n\n\n\n

DESCRIPTION:“Wheels for Meals” benefits homebound seniors in the Lewes/Rehoboth Beach\, Delaware area. DESCRIPTION:10/03/2021\n\n\n\nThis year will mark the 7th Anniversary of the Anne Arundel County Lifeline 100! What began to showcase Anne Arundel County’s scenic trails and roadways\, and spotlight cycling awareness has grown every year into a celebrated annual event drawing hundreds of cyclists from around the Mid-Atlantic. \nThe event typically attracts over 800 participants from age 4 to 84 of all levels and abilities\, and a wide range of bikes. Over the past six years the event has generated over $200\,000 in proceeds for non-profit beneficiaries and has won an Award from the Maryland Recreation & Parks Association. \nThe 2021 Lifeline 100 will be Sunday\, October 3rd. We will again offer 100 and 65 mile scenic routes with views of the Severn River\, Chesapeake Bay\, historic Annapolis and more. \nThe 30 and 15 mile flat\, paved trail routes are great for riders of all ages and abilities including families and those with special needs. \nAll routes are fully-supported with route maps and markings\, rest stops and SAG vehicles. \nREGISTER HERE!
