Ride Leader Summit 2021

Attention all WCBC Ride Leaders

As we prepare for the upcoming ride season, we want to get everyone together for our annual Ride Leader Summit.

We all missed a year of leading group rides, so we need to discuss ramping up for rides in 2021.

This will be a virtual meeting via Zoom on April 10th, from 3-5 pm
Hosted by Ride Captain Carol Bassett and President JW Haupt

Topics of discussion will be….

- - Ride leader concerns
  - Leading rides under the new guidelines
  - Limits to group size
  - Rides are for Members Only
  - Elimination of Day-Of ride waivers
  - Use of online sign ups (Sign Up Genius)
  - Rules of the road
  - General Discussion
  - Questions and Answers

If you are a ride leader look for an email with a more information and a link to the Zoom meeting within the next week

About JW Haupt

I have been involved with the WCBC since 2007, a member since 2011, and a more active member beginning in 2013. During that time, I have thoroughly enjoyed my years of involvement as a rider, a member, a Ride Leader, an Event Coordinator and Volunteer, and a member of the Executive Committee as Ride Captain, Vice President and President. I've organized weekday and weekend rides including the multi-level Tuesday/Thursday group rides in Bear and the MS Training Rides out of People’s Plaza which can draw 50-75 or more riders on a given day. I’ve remained an involved member of the Club not only because I enjoy cycling, but because I enjoy the time I get to spend with all of you. And I want to do everything that I can to make your riding experience one that you look forward to each day.
