Cranksgiving Time

The Club is once again pushing the pedals for a rolling donation of non-perishable food items.

The Cranksgivng Ride on September 21 is a family-paced group, 28.5-mile route comprised of the Chesapeake & Delaware (C&D) Trail and local roads between Chesapeake City, MD and Delaware City, DE. Post-ride refreshments will be held at the starting point of Grain H2O.

At the pre-ride meeting at the Grain H2O aside the Summit North Marina, donations will be accepted for the Food Bank of Delaware. Examples of non-perishable donations include canned goods, cereals, juice boxes, pastas, rice and shelf-stable milk. A complete inventory of approved food items is available on the Food Bank of Delaware Most Wanted List.

In 2025, nearly 220 lbs of food items were given by 15 participating cyclists along with other Club members who didn’t ride, but still made donations. The event this year will mark its 3rd annual appearance.

Sign up to ride on the Ride Calendar. To participate as a non-rider donor, no registration is necessary.
