Fleche Buffoon

$28 – $55A “Spring Classic” for those of you who don’t particularly like riding on dirt roads. The Fleche Buffoon is our tribute to the Ardennes Classics (Fleche Wallonne, Amstel Gold Race & the oldest of the classics, Liege-Bastogne-Liege).
We now offer 2 hilly courses (ca 62 and 76 miles) through the Bucks County, PA & Hunterdon County, NJ countryside. The challenging courses feature up to 14 steep climbs over its route. Along the way there will be miles of country roads, scenic farmland and quaint river towns. In true Amstel fashion, on the long course, there will even be an authentic Dutch windmill along the course (in Holland Township no less). Both courses share a single aid station, just prior to where the courses split.
These courses are entirely paved, no dirt or gravel, unlike our other Spring Classics, the Hell of Hunterdon, the Fools Classic, and the Sourland Semi-Classic. Well, the marquee climb (Uhlerstown Rd) is in crap condition, with lots of debris and loose gravel, but technically it is paved…
