Tour de Talbot
Experience the Eastern Shore’s most scenic and historic region by bike. The Tour de Talbot offers you a day to remember. Take a picturesque ride past sunny farm fields, through quaint 17th- and 18th-century towns, and along country roads offering tempting glimpses of the area’s many waterways. Stop for ice cream (if you like) in Oxford, take a 7-minute ride across the Tred Avon River on the nation’s oldest privately operated Oxford-Bellevue Ferry, then head back to the starting point (with a chance for 62 milers to first cross the popular Tunis Mills wooden bridge) to enjoy a relaxing lunch, good conversation, and a couple of brews!
Three SAG-supported distance rides are available—30, 40, or 62.5 miles—all of which include three rest stops where friendly volunteers will help you recharge with an array of snacks, fruit, and beverages.
