The Club´s Family Ride along had a perfect day to roll along the Chesapeake & Delaware (C&D) Canal Trail with warm temperatures, sunshine and low winds—just a sweet spot with the weather. Starting in Delaware City, the group stayed level 8 miles along the path and just crossed into Maryland. After a few photos and a chance for the toddler to stretch his legs, riders headed back to Delaware City.

The canal route offered lots of visual delights such as egrets, turtles, seagulls, flowers as well as a variety of boats. The biggest delight was undoubtedly the stop for ice cream at the Creamery at St Georges. Several delicious scoops were eaten. Many “ice cream faces” were made.

Family Rides will continue next year with the all important sweet spot stops to be included.
