Family Style

Trailer hitched and bicycles ready, the WCBC Family Ride was on the trail. The first Family Ride of the season featured friendly conversation, natural scenery and toddler-needs-to-move break.

The leisurely pace on the 16-mile up-and-back route on the James A. Markell (JAM) Trail enabled riders of all ages to embrace the ride and see all the sights along the way. Plus, stops for a diaper change or little tots run time were easily accommodated.

“It was nice to not be in a hurry. Usually on a ride, it’s go, go, go. Today, you can really appreciate everything along way,” said Allison Gundel, whose 2-year-old son Asher had a deluxe seat in the trailer for the ride.

Next Family Ride is Saturday, July 13 at 10:30 a.m. in Delaware City. Registration Open Now.
