The WCBC storage unit at Extra Space Storage facility in Newark was spared damage from a fire at the facility grounds on October 19. The fire occurred away from the Club’s unit; and neither fire nor smoke reached it. Access to the storage unit was restored after 2 days.

Yearly at the facility, the Club pays to store major ride event gear such as beverage items, bike racks, canopies, give-always, non-perishable food, road signs, route arrows, table covers, tables and water jugs. Specialty items like grilling equipment and Cycling Santa apparel are kept there as well. The unit also serves as a prep space for upcoming events.
