Providing a pause in the summer cycling, after the Metric and Doublecross metrics and before the Surefire and Savage century ride events, was the 2024 WCBC Summer picnic. 

With the aid of some volunteer staffing from the Executive Committee the picnic and grill, Emily Ciancio organized another crowd pleaser. 

Free to all Club members, a capacity crowd of 40 young and old individuals chowed down on hamburgers, hot dogs, Italian sausage, vegan burgers, fruit, chips and cookies.

One perk of the picnic’s location at Beck’s Pond Park is the ability to ride to the venue. A group of 15 strong took advantage of the opportunity and rolled into the picnic together.
